EIA weekly data: Ethanol production down 4%, stocks down 2%, exports up 47%

U.S. fuel ethanol production was down 4% the week ending Nov. 7, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 13. Stocks of fuel ethanol were down 2% and exports were up nearly 47%. 

Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.075 million barrels per day the week ending Nov. 7, down 48,000 barrels per day when compared to the record-setting 1.123 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Nov. 7 was down 38,000 barrels per day. 

Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol fell to 22.219 million barrels the week ending Nov. 7, down 436,000 barrels when compared to the 22.655 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Nov. 7 were up 180,000 barrels. 

Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 157,000 barrels per day the week ending Nov. 7, up 50,000 barrels per day when compared to the 107,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Nov. 7 were up 13,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending Nov. 7.
