U.S. fuel ethanol production was up 2% the week ending Nov. 21, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 26. Stocks of fuel ethanol fell by nearly 2% while exports fell by 16%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.113 million barrels per day the week ending Nov. 21, up 22,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.091 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Nov. 21 was down 6,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol fell to 21.968 million barrels the week ending Nov. 21, down 339,000 barrels when compared to the 22.307 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Nov. 21 were down 901,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 122,000 barrels per day the week ending Nov. 21, down 23,000 barrels per day when compared to the 145,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Nov. 21 were down 36,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending Nov. 21.
