EIA weekly data: Ethanol production up slightly, stocks down 1%, exports down 22%

U.S. fuel ethanol production was up slightly the week ending July 11, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on July 16. Ethanol stocks were down 1% and exports fell by 22%. 

Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.087 million barrels per day the week ending July 11, up 2,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.085 million barrels per day. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week July 11 was down 19,000 barrels per day. 

Stocks of fuel ethanol fell to 23.635 million barrels the week ending July 11, down 324,000 barrels when compared to the 23.959 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending July 11 were up 475,000 barrels. 

Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 94,000 barrels per day the week ending July 11, down 27,000 barrels per day when compared to the 121,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending July 11 were up 24,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending July 11.
