The event took place in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. This tractor represents a significant advancement in tractor technology by using compressed bio-gas, which is a green and renewable fuel, thus reducing reliance on fossil fuels and cutting down carbon emissions.
Bio-gas technology
Compressed bio-gas is produced from biodegradable materials such as farm food and other waste. This makes it a sustainable alternative compared to CNG, which depends on fossil fuels. Mahindra's new CBG-powered tractor ensures operational power and performance comparable to conventional diesel tractors , making it capable of handling both farming and haulage tasks efficiently. The Yuvo Tech+ CBG tractor adheres to stringent norms and meets all Indian standards.
