NEW YORK, Aug 12 (Reuters) -Production of sugar in the United States was projected on Monday to reach an all-time high at 9.51 million short tons (ST) as farmers and sugar processors report very good yields for both beet and sugarcane, the USDA said on Monday.
The United States Agriculture Department (USDA) raised its projection for beet sugar to 5.36 million ST versus 5.23 million ST in July, while increasing its view on cane sugar production to 4.15 million ST from 4.08 million ST previously.
