U.S. fuel ethanol production was down nearly 3% the week ending June 20, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 25. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up 1% and exports fell by 33%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.081 million barrels per day the week ending June 20, down 28,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.109 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending June 20 was down 38,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol expanded to 24.404 million barrels the week ending June 20, up 284,000 barrels when compared to the 24.12 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending June 20 were up 981,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 110,000 barrels per day the week ending June 20, down 53,000 barrels per day when compared to the 163,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending June 20 were up 38,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending June 20.
