Madhucon Sugar and Power Industries in Rajeswarapuram began sugarcane crushing for the 2025-26 season on Monday. Nama Nageswara Rao launched the operations and announced that farmers supplying cane will receive free sugar, while also assuring higher support price and subsidies.
Khammam: Sugarcane crushing for the 2025-26 season started at Madhucon Sugar and Power Industries Limited in Rajeswarapuram village in Nelakondapalli mandal in the district on Monday.
Former Khammam BRS MP and factory founder Nama Nageswara Rao launched the crushing after performing a pooja along with his wife Chinnamma on the factory premises. He said that for the first time in the country, farmers who supply a tonne of sugarcane would be given half a kilo of sugar free in the season at the request of farmers.
