GSV, Airbus ink pact to develop sustainable aviation fuel

Vadodara: A joint study agreement between Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) and Airbus was signed in the presence of civil aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu during the inauguration of the India Sustainable Fuel Summit 2025 in New Delhi.

The agreement aims to leverage GSV's research expertise and Airbus' global industry experience to develop scalable, domestically produced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using municipal solid waste as feedstock.

It will also coordinate with the Earth Rakshak Foundation, a local non-profit that will collect and supply waste materials from rural and urban areas for the project.

The agreement was signed by Professor Manoj Choudhary, cice-chancellor of GSV and Julien Manhes, head of SAF and CDR at Airbus. Jürgen Westermeier, president and managing director of Airbus India and South Asia, was also present at the ceremony.
