Sunbond Energy Private Limited has received provisional enlistment for 13 additional solar PV module models in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-1 with 500 MW/year. This approval comes from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) after reviewing their application. Sunbond Energy’s facility is located in Mitana, Rajkot, Gujarat.
The enlistment is currently provisional, with final approval to be granted once the company meets all necessary conditions and requirements. These requirements include compliance with guidelines and further scrutiny by the government. The ministry emphasized that this provisional status does not guarantee final enlistment and that there is no liability on the part of the MNRE or its representatives if the final enlistment is not achieved.
Additionally, the ministry highlighted updates to the requirements for solar PV modules to be included in the ALMM List-1. These updates focus on ensuring that the modules meet specific standards and efficiency criteria. Only those models that comply with these standards will be considered for final enlistment.
The list of manufacturers and models under ALMM has been revised, and details regarding provisional enlistments, including Sunbond Energy, are available in the updated version. The enlistment is also tied to the validity of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. If the BIS registration is not maintained, the enlisted models may be delisted.
This update reflects the ministry’s commitment to ensuring that solar PV module manufacturers meet the necessary standards for efficiency and reliability. The provisional enlistment is a step forward for Sunbond Energy, but final approval remains contingent on meeting the full set of required conditions.
