Danish renewables developer Orsted has scrapped of its FlagshipONE green hydrogen-to-methanol project in Denmark and exiting the liquid e-fuels market, the company announced today (Thursday), two years after taking final investment decision (FID) on the project.
Orsted, which was pitching its green methanol from FlagshipONE at the shipping sector, blamed sluggish European green fuels markets for the decision.
