Chinese green technology firm Envision Energy has secured offtake from Japanese trading firm Marubeni for its 500MW green hydrogen/ammonia plant in Chifeng — the world’s largest operational commercial project so far.
The Chifeng plant, which began producing its first molecules in early 2024, is set to ramp up production to 300,000 tonnes per year in its first phase by the end of September.
