EIA weekly data: Ethanol production up 1%, stocks up slightly, exports down 8%

U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by more than 1% the week ending Nov. 14, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 19. Stocks of fuel ethanol expanded slightly, and exports fell by nearly 8%. 

Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.091 million barrels per day the week ending Nov. 14, up 16,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.075 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Nov. 14 was down 12,000 barrels per day. 

Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol reached 22.307 million barrels the week ending Nov. 14, up 88,000 barrels when compared to the 22.219 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Nov. 14 were down 256,000 barrels.

Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 145,000 barrels per day the week ending Nov. 14, down 12,000 barrels per day when compared to the 157,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Nov. 14 were up 1,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending Nov. 14.
